As a home-away-from-home school, we utilize engaging techniques to keep minds active throughout the day. Our biggest priority and day-to-day goal and aspiration is to offer quality education through life skills, tutoring, craft projects, & other extracurricular & academic activities provided in a fun & engaging way for our students.

Our Program Description

Promising Future Academy offers an enriching and vibrant learning program for homeschooling families seeking collaborative education and personalized learning. We operate Mondays through Fridays, August to May, from 7 am to 3 pm, for ages grades PreK-6th. Our courses are available in person for all home education students.

 

Our Curriculum:

Promising Future Academy: Building Foundations for Lifelong Learning (PreK-6th Grade)

 

At Promising Future Academy, we believe that learning should be an engaging and enriching experience. Our curriculum seamlessly integrates education, cooperative play, and creative exploration to foster the natural development of social, emotional, and physical milestones in our students. As a nurturing home-away-from-home school, we use diverse strategies to maintain student engagement throughout the day, ensuring that every child is excited about learning.

 

We are committed to fostering a passion for learning and building a solid academic foundation for success in elementary school and beyond. Our core academic subjects are designed to meet the developmental needs of each age group, from PreK through 6th grade, and provide a complete and stimulating educational experience.

 

Our Core Academic Subjects Include:

 

• Language Arts (PreK-6th):

  • PreK-K: Focus on phonemic awareness, letter recognition, early reading skills, and oral language development through engaging stories, songs, and activities.

  • 1st-3rd Grade: Develop strong reading comprehension, writing, and grammar skills through literature, creative writing, and foundational grammar exercises.

  • 4th-6th Grade: Enhance critical thinking, reading analysis, and writing proficiency through diverse literary genres, research projects, and advanced grammar study.

 

• Mathematics (PreK-6th):

  • PreK-K: Introduce basic number concepts, counting, shapes, and patterns through hands-on manipulatives and interactive games.

  • 1st-3rd Grade: Build a strong foundation in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, along with problem-solving and measurement skills.

  • 4th-6th Grade: Advance mathematical skills in fractions, decimals, geometry, and pre-algebra concepts, emphasizing logical reasoning and real-world applications.

 

• Science (PreK-6th):

  • PreK-K: Explore the natural world through observation, experimentation, and hands-on activities, fostering curiosity and scientific thinking.

  • 1st-3rd Grade: Introduce fundamental scientific concepts in life science, earth science, and physical science through experiments, investigations, and interactive lessons.

  • 4th-6th Grade: Deepen scientific understanding through in-depth exploration of scientific principles, laboratory experiments, and research projects.

 

• Social Studies (PreK-6th):

  • PreK-K: Introduce basic concepts of community, family, and cultural awareness through stories, activities, and discussions.

  • 1st-3rd Grade: Explore local history, geography, and cultural traditions, fostering an understanding of citizenship and community.

  • 4th-6th Grade: Expand knowledge of world history, geography, and government, developing critical thinking and a global perspective.

Our Enrichment Courses:

In addition to our core curriculum, we offer a variety of enriching activities, including:

 

Introduction to sign language

Discover the beauty and practicality of American Sign Language (ASL) in this introductory course. Learn the basics of finger spelling, common signs, and fundamental grammatical structures. This class provides a foundation for communication with the Deaf community and opens a new window into language and culture.

 

Art

Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this course will foster your artistic expression and build your skills in a fun and supportive environment.

 

Beginning Yoga

Find balance, flexibility, and inner peace in our Beginning Yoga class. This gentle introduction to yoga will guide you through basic poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods. Perfect for all ages and fitness levels, this class will help you cultivate mindfulness and improve your overall well-being.

 

Elegant Encounters: Manners, Table setting, and social skills

Master the art of social grace in Elegant Encounters. This course focuses on essential manners, proper table setting, and effective social skills. Learn how to confidently navigate various social situations, build positive relationships, and make a lasting impression. Ideal for individuals seeking to enhance their etiquette and interpersonal abilities.

 

Beginning Coding

Step into the world of technology with our Beginning Coding class. Learn the fundamentals of programming through hands-on projects and interactive exercises. Discover how to create websites, games, and applications while developing problem-solving and logical thinking skills. This course is a perfect starting point for aspiring coders of all ages.

Schedule: 

Our full-time home education program will be held on Monday-Fridays from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Our Part-time home education program will be held on Monday-Fridays from 7:00 am - 12 pm.

 

 

Payment Schedule: Tuition is due monthly. Tuitions are billed a week before their due date and must be paid by the 1st of each month.

$250 Enrollment Fee

$150 Field Trip Fee

$100 Material Fee

$120 Morning Care Weekly (7:30am - 8:30am)

$190 Aftercare Weekly (3:00pm- 6:00pm)

 

 

Tuition:

5 Day Home Education Program Full Time (Monday-Friday): $800/month ($8000/annually)

5 Day Home Education Program Part Time (Monday-Friday): $700/month ($7000/annually)

Al a Carte K-6th Grade Enrichment Classes: $25 per class/daily ($400/month)

Al a Carte Preschool Enrichment Classes: $30 per class/daily ($500/month)

 

*All enrichment classes are included for students enrolled in our 5 Day Home education program. The cost of these classes is already factored into their monthly tuition. *

In accordance with Florida's homeschooling regulations, parents remain the primary educators and are responsible for their child's overall education. Our program complements home-based instruction by offering part-time targeted tutoring, enrichment activities, and collaborative learning experiences. We are not a private or public school, but a supportive community designed to enhance your homeschooling journey. Parents are responsible for all record keeping and reporting requirements as outlined by the state of Florida for homeschool students or the Step Up for Students PEP scholarship parent responsibility.
